Marygate House is ideal for groups.  

All sorts of organisations come, for diverse reasons.  Church groups of one sort and another come from all over the country and in fact the world.  Some for silent directed retreats, others for noisy celebrations and worship.  University Chaplaincies and societies, schools and colleges, groups and musicians, artists and naturalists all come to enjoy the Island and Marygate.

​There are six bedrooms that can sleep up to 15 people with shared shower rooms.  Groups have sole use of a large comfortable sitting room, where there are facilities to make tea and coffee if you wish to.

Groups are welcome to come as our guests for up to six nights with a minimum stay of two nights.  We are not able to receive guests on a Sunday, or to provide a meal on a Sunday evening.  We offer set menus, but can cater for vegetarian  and most medical diets, which we must be informed about at least a week before a guest or group arrives.  

If you drive a fully electric car (BEV)  there are now four Type 2 7kv public charges in Green Lane car park a five minute walk from Marygate House.  You need your own type 2 cable.

We rely on God's providence do not charge, we are a charity which relies on guest's donations to survive, we have no other sources of funding.  Presently it costs us about £900 GB per day  to provide Marygate to a group of 10 , we would ask that you take this into account when considering a donation.
